About
Lasers are the ‘Tesla of printing’. Hardly any moving parts, zero fluid consumption and yet 100% ready for the digital age and Industry 4.0.
EKYW wants to fully utilize the laser’s potential and demonstrate it as a viable alternative to chemicals such as: ink, glue (stickers), pesticides, herbicides and cleaning-products. Backed by academia, recyclers and producers alike it is safe to say that lasers are the future.
Edwin Kroon has a background in biology and dreams of copying nature’s nanostructures on everyday items. From bacteria-killing butterfly wings on a doorknob, to Namibian Desert Beetle to promote the foaming of beer, a laser can recreate functional 3D-nanostructures on any material.
Mission
EKYW believes that lasers have much more potential than is utilized and is determined to unlock those to improve everyday life.

This potential is unlocked by performing practical experiments with scientific literature as backing and biomimicry as a great source of inspiration.

Vision
EKYW envisions a bright future, illuminated by laser-light. A laser has virtually an infinite number of applications that individually all have the power to massively improve our daily lives, starting with safer food on everybody's plate.
